The long-awaited trailer for Thor: The Dark World is finally here, offering a look at the main characters in the film, like Malekith (played by Christopher Eccleston.) Thor: The Dark World hits theaters on November 8, 2013.
Just as Marvels “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvels “Thor” and “Marvels The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Disney has released a trailer for their new Lone Ranger movie, coming out in 2013. It’s directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, Mousehunt), and written by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio (The Mask of Zorro) and Justin Haythe (Revolutionary Road).
The Lone Ranger stars Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as his trusty companion.
After looking at the trailer, here are my thoughts:
10. Klinton Spilsbury is very happy now
9. Cowboy and Alien?
Memorial Day 2010 has been good to fans of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim comic: out now is a second trailer for the film adaptation, directed by Shaun of the Dead‘s Edgar Wright and starring Michael Cera as the eponymous character.
In this trailer, viewers get a better look at Jason Schwartzman’s character, who is the seventh, final boyfriend Pilgrim must defeat to get with Ramona. I love Wright and his editing, but I’m not particularly convinced that the soft-spoken Cera portrays Pilgrim too well. He looks a little too silly in the action scenes…
On a different note, where’s Knives?!

As predicted, Iron Man 2 viewers got their first taste of J.J. Abrams’s newest mind-imploding teaser trailer for Super 8. Here’s a look at the teaser poster, which was essentially the quick glimpse of the trailer’s finale (check that out after the jump!).
While some movie-goers are in an outrage over the mass amount left up to the imagination, one ought to expect this from the Cloverfield director by now. If your mind truly needs some appeasement, head on over to the film’s viral site and let us know if you’ve unlocked any appetizing secrets.

The Kick-Ass presents keep coming so fast, I feel like it’s Christmas already! First we saw the posters, now we finally get to see the teaser trailer for the film adaptation of Mark Millar’s and John Romita, Jr.‘s comic of the same title.
Seemingly pulled straight from the first few pages of the initial issue, director Matthew Vaughan translated the comic to film quite masterfully. Let’s hope the same applies for the rest of the movie!
The only thing that concerns me is that I’m still not buying Superbad‘s Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist—are you?

2008’s The Dark Knight was not the first time Batman faced off against his archenemy Joker on the big screen, or even the small screen. Thanks to YouTube’s community of film-editing hobbyists, there are three trailers for previous Batman films replaced with the audio track from The Dark Knight trailer. Enjoy.
Batman: The Animated Series (1992)
The best treatment of The Dark Knight trailer’s audio is a clip made from episodes of the early 90’s TV cartoon Batman: The Animated Series. The cartoon becomes a Gothic “Hanna-Barbera” nightmare and seamlessly goes along with soundtrack as if it was meant to be that way all along.
