Comic Book Jobs: DC Comics Online

DC Comics, the division of DC Comics that’s moved to Burbank, CA, is hiring again.

This time, they need an Associate Art Director for their Publishing-Digital department.

This new online venture of DC’s got a nice write-up from The Beat that’ll tell you who the players are.

You’ll be reporting to the Senior Art Director, Digital, and working on the “design and production on a wide variety of projects.”

This includes “mockups for future digital content, trade dress and ads for licensed comics, kids comics and new digital comics as well as marketing materials.

”You need a BA/BS degree and a “minimum two years of production art experience using Mac based programs, in a marketing driven environment.” Plus the usual mad design skillz, team player, multi-tasker, software skillz, blah, blah, blah. You already know that drill by now.

Burbank is a nice place to work and the weather is pretty sweet. There’s a Trader Joe’s near the studio, one of the original Bob’s Big Boy restaurants is close, and really what more do you need?

Good luck, job seekers!
